Couples Marriage Counseling and Relationship Counseling

Couples and Marriage Counseling in Castle Rock, CO and Englewood, CO
Couples marriage counseling may be helpful if you are finding yourselves in frequent and redundant conflict, without the communication tools to resolve them? Have you lost the emotional connection between you? Do you think you are too different to connect? Do you find yourself in the aftermath of an affair? Does your marriage encourage the best in you or bring out the worst? Is your marriage a consumer relationship or a commitment relationship? Is there too much hurt to overcome?

Good marriage partners are trustworthy, emotionally available, able to respond to conflict reasonably, and must be good forgivers.

I am a pro-marriage counselor. Relationships and marriage are important. We all come to this life with a core need for relationship. These are the principles that make meeting our core need a reality. Learning them in a compassionate, hopeful context can create a reset for relationships that have lost their way.

There are times, however, when it becomes impossible to live in peace with one another, and relationships become too destructive. That is also the time for grace and standing-under-your-load-with-you to make the process of separation or dissolution as collaborative as possible.

There is no better place to learn to love better than within one’s marriage. The health of couple relationships is often reflected in the presence or absence of an emotional connection. Couples marriage counseling can help rebuild and strengthen that connection.

Sometimes we need a little help to:

  • Learn to communicate for understanding
  • Learn to resolve solvable problems
  • Learn to communicate and collaborate about gridlocked problems
  • Learn to interrupt and change dynamics that repeat destructively
  • Learn to accept and value differences
  • Discover and heal attachment wounds
  • Learn to forgive one another and oneself
  • Learn to rebuild trust
